How to use the Anime Origins team builder
Pick the mode you are preparing for, then add the units already built or realistically obtainable on your account. The coverage panel updates as the six slots fill and points to the jobs that are still missing.
Use the suggestions as a shortlist, not an instruction to abandon a finished unit. Traits, stat rolls, evolution, placement limits, and the stage path can make a developed lower-ranked unit more useful than an unfinished premium pull.
- Start with one main carry rather than six expensive attackers.
- Keep at least one dependable Hill option when flying enemies appear.
- Add economy only when the mode lasts long enough to repay the slot.
- Use control or boss damage to solve the wave that actually ends the run.
What the role checks mean
Carry and Wave clear describe damage jobs, while Boss marks units whose kit is especially useful against durable targets. Control covers slow, stun, stop, or another way to buy time. Support improves another unit, and Economy helps pay for upgrades during the match.
A unit can cover more than one job, but one name does not automatically solve every slot. The builder deliberately shows the individual roles so you can inspect whether the current stage lets that part of the kit matter.
Why mode selection changes the answer
Story usually rewards an affordable opening and correct target coverage. Raids put more pressure on boss damage and control. Rifts punish missing mechanics and target types, while Infinite gives economy and scaling enough time to matter.
These are planning priorities rather than official team requirements. A new stage, balance patch, evolution, or unit can change the best answer before the role framework itself becomes obsolete.
What this planner does not calculate
The tool does not read a Roblox account, simulate exact DPS, or know a unit’s current trait, stat grades, evolution, placement, or upgrade level. It also does not claim that every community ranking is an official developer tier list.
After building a squad, open the current unit page or in-game index and verify the details that affect the stage. The value here is catching a structural gap before rare Trait Rerolls and Perfect Stat Prisms are spent.
Why some unit labels are marked unconfirmed
Recent public references disagree over the displayed rarity, name, or target type for a few release units. Those units can still be selected for a documented role, but an Unconfirmed target never counts as Ground, Hill, or Hybrid coverage in the automatic check.
Check the current in-game index before locking a stage team. This conservative rule is more useful than silently choosing whichever third-party label happens to be newest.
