All seven Treasure Hunt chest landmarks
Follow the Freeplay map clockwise and use the on-screen x/7 counter. Stand on the dig patch and hold E, then interact again to collect the chest.
| Landmark | Where to look | Common miss |
|---|---|---|
| Beach far end | Continue past Scarlet and the beach ball toward the pink slide and nearby palm trees. | Stopping at Scarlet instead of walking to the far end of the sand. |
| Beach checkpoint | Search the other side of the beach near the blue-and-white semicircle minigame marker. | Looking only around the volleyball NPC. |
| Recording Studio lower ledge | Drop to the rock ledge below the Recording Studio, close to the graffiti wall. | Remaining on street level above the patch. |
| Yellow house block | Climb into the neighborhood above the studio and check by the yellow house and green surfboard. | Searching the studio interior instead of the upper street. |
| Main entrance | Check under the wooden steps or ladder near the Mais Samba graffiti by the Freeplay entrance. | The wood frame hides the patch from the main path. |
| Red and orange houses | Cross the wooden fence into the open ground beside the red-orange house cluster. | Walking around the fence without checking behind it. |
| Pink house | Look underneath the wooden ladder or structure beside the pink house. | This is the first place to recheck when the counter stays at 6/7. |
Five gems and the action that unlocks each one
The gems can be completed in any order. Finishing a minigame is not enough if the spawned gem is left behind.
| Gem | Required route | What confirms progress |
|---|---|---|
| Red | Use the upside-down bird near Scarlet and complete its flying course. | Meet the score shown in your server, then pick up the red gem. |
| Purple | Equip Soccer Ball in the Dressing Room, restyle it as Beach Ball, and finish the beach volleyball minigame. | Collect the purple gem after the minigame ends. |
| Blue | Take the Hammer from the Lana beach house bookshelf, break the giant Coconut by the fruit stand, and toss its Coin into the frozen Recording Studio Fountain. | The fountain step produces the blue gem. |
| Yellow | Light the five dark lanterns around the Recording Studio and the orange, blue, and pink house blocks. | The yellow gem appears only after all five lanterns register. |
| Green | Enter the blue-and-white cliff door, reach the Backrooms room behind the Lana cutout, and dig until the real gem appears. | Pick up the genuine green gem rather than stopping after an empty dig. |
What each Treasure Hunt counter unlocks
Use this when one objective is complete but the reward you expected is still missing.
| Counter | Result | Does not unlock by itself |
|---|---|---|
| 7/7 chests | Completes Scarlet Fierce’s buried-chest route and awards its chest-track items or currency. | The cave, Trident, and Seashell Crown. |
| 5/5 gems | Opens the star-shaped beach cave and gives access to the Scarlet Doll area. | The final shell chamber until all three shells are placed. |
| 3/3 shells | Opens the secret chamber containing the Trident and hidden crown. | Any chest-track reward that was not collected from Scarlet’s route. |
Start the Treasure Hunt in Freeplay
Choose Freeplay rather than joining a normal runway round. Scarlet Fierce waits on the beach and starts the buried-chest route. The gem objects and cave also live on the Freeplay map, so a missing NPC or prop usually means the server is still running an older build.
Before moving, note the counters visible on your screen. The chest, gem, and shell progress should be treated separately; a 7/7 chest counter is not a Trident requirement check.
Dig and collect all seven chests
At each landmark, stand on the actual disturbed-soil patch and hold E. After the chest rises, interact again so it counts. Walking over the area or digging beside the patch will not advance the tracker.
Current walkthroughs agree that the returns include pieces from the Scarlet Fierce outfit plus event currency. Some reward names and substitutions differ between accounts and current reports, so use the item toast rather than expecting a rigid chest-by-chest prize order.
Open the cave with all five colored gems
Red and purple are short minigames, blue is a three-item chain, yellow is a lantern sweep, and green is a Backrooms dig. That mix makes the route easier when you finish one color completely instead of collecting half of several chains.
Return to the star-shaped beach door after all five gems register. If the door remains closed, check the counter and revisit the last minigame; several tasks require picking up a spawned gem after the action is complete.
Fix a stuck chest, gem or shell counter
If Scarlet or the event props are absent, rejoin a new Freeplay server. If E does not appear, move onto the dig patch rather than facing it from the path. A 6/7 chest count most often calls for another look at the far beach and the lower Recording Studio ledge.
When a gem minigame finishes without progress, search for the gem it spawned. When a shell cannot be picked up, place the shell already carried on its pedestal. If the final cosmetic still fails to register, rejoin once and revisit the cave; do not redo all seven chests unless their own counter reset.
Methodology and limits
This route was checked on August 30 against the official Dress to Impress experience and separate current walkthroughs for the chest, gem, and shell objectives. When current guides disagree on a fixed count or reward name, the live quest counter and visible item are treated as authoritative rather than repeating the disputed number.

Dress to Impress guide FAQ
Why did 7/7 chests not give me the Trident in Dress to Impress?
The chests are a separate Scarlet Fierce route. The Trident requires all five gems to open the cave and all three cave shells to open its secret chamber.
Can I collect the five DTI gems in any order?
Yes. Complete each color’s full chain and pick up the spawned gem, then return to the star-shaped beach door after the counter reaches five.
Where is the Seashell Crown?
After placing all three shells, enter the final chamber and walk behind the Trident. The crown is attached to the anchor there.
Why is my Treasure Hunt chest counter stuck at 6/7?
Recheck the far end of the beach, the rock ledge below the Recording Studio, and the wooden structures by the entrance and pink house. A dug chest must also be collected to count.
Why is Scarlet Fierce missing from Freeplay?
You may be in a server that loaded before the event update. Confirm Freeplay is selected and join a fresh server before repeating any completed route.
