All Anime Vanguards trait families
Reported chance and pity values are a planning aid. Read the live card before replacing a good roll because current third-party pages can lag behind a balance patch.
| Trait | Reported chance | Listed pity | Best use | Safe decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monarch | 0.1% | 1,500 | One premium low-placement carry | Chase only on a finished long-term unit |
| Ethereal | 0.175% | 858 | General premium damage | A flexible endgame target for the main carry |
| Deadeye | 0.375% | 400 | Units that actually use critical stats | Keep when crit is part of the kit or build |
| Solar | 0.5% | 300 | Range-sensitive support or utility | Prefer when reach improves the whole team |
| Blitz | 1.85% | No listed pity | Secondary damage and attack speed | A strong practical stop before a mythic chase |
| Fortune | 2.5% | No listed pity | Farm and economy units | Keep on the unit whose job is generating value |
| Marksman | 6.5% | No listed pity | Support coverage or range checks | Keep if range fixes placement or lane coverage |
| Scholar | 10% | No listed pity | Temporary leveling project | Use while leveling, then reassess for combat |
| Vigor I–III | 26% family | No listed pity | Common damage placeholder | Keep a higher tier until reroll stock recovers |
| Swift I–III | 26% family | No listed pity | Common speed placeholder | Often more useful than rarity suggests on a slow unit |
| Range I–III | 26% family | No listed pity | Common reach placeholder | Keep only when reach solves a real coverage problem |
Reroll order for a developing account
Finish one job at a time. This order prevents a new event code from being spread across six unfinished trait hunts.
| Target | Why first | Stop when |
|---|---|---|
| Farm unit | Economy improves every later run | Fortune lands or the current farm card says another effect is better |
| Main carry | One strong build moves the account farther than several weak upgrades | A role-fitting premium trait lands |
| Second damage unit | Adds coverage without consuming the main carry’s full budget | Blitz, Deadeye, or another kit-fitting roll is usable |
| Support and control | Range can improve team uptime more than raw damage | Solar, Marksman, or a sufficient Range tier solves placement |
| Leveling project | Scholar helps only while experience is the bottleneck | The unit reaches its goal and is ready for a combat roll |
How to reroll traits in Anime Vanguards
Visit the Mandra Traits NPC in the Upgrades area, select the exact unit, and spend one Trait Reroll for each attempt. Read the current trait and the unit’s pity display before confirming another roll.
Do not switch units casually during a long pity chase. Current references describe pity as attached to the unit being rerolled, so the visible in-game counter is the final authority.
When Monarch is not the best answer
Monarch is rare and powerful, but its one-placement rule is a real roster constraint. A unit that wins through several placements, a support that only needs wider coverage, or an unfinished temporary carry can get more practical value from another trait.
Current third-party pages also disagree on some displayed Monarch numbers after updates. Treat the live trait card as authoritative and base the decision on placement, team role, and the current unit kit rather than an old percentage screenshot.
Use a stopping rule before spending codes
Decide the acceptable outcome before the first roll. Blitz on a secondary attacker, Solar or Marksman on a support, Fortune on a farm unit, and a high-tier common placeholder on a developing unit can all be sensible stops.
A stopping rule protects the next important unit. The current codes page may add hundreds of rerolls, but a rare-trait chase can still consume them without improving the rest of the roster.
Match the trait to the unit’s actual job
Damage, SPA, critical stats, range, economy, and experience are different jobs. Compare a unit’s placement limit, attack pattern, passive conditions, and role in the six-slot team before using a global trait ranking.
For example, Holy Deceiver (Dark) gains value from a Dragon Sphere shell. A trait decision for that unit should be tested with the intended allies and Memoria, not copied from an unrelated solo-carry screenshot.
Where to get more Trait Rerolls
Current documented routes include regular, daily, and weekly Challenges, plus event shops, passes, achievements, and active codes when available. Check the live reward panel because event routes rotate and old videos can point to a shop that has already closed.
Claim the current code batch before a planned session, but do not change a good trait simply because the balance increased. Free rerolls are still scarce if the next carry needs them more.
Methodology and limits
The guide uses the current 11-trait catalog and documented reroll routes, then converts them into role-based stopping rules. Published chances and pity values are reference points rather than promises for one session; the live trait card and unit-specific pity display take priority when an update changes a stat or mechanic.

Anime Vanguards guide FAQ
How many traits are in Anime Vanguards?
The current catalog lists 11 trait families: Monarch, Ethereal, Deadeye, Solar, Blitz, Marksman, Fortune, Scholar, Vigor, Swift, and Range.
Which Anime Vanguards traits have pity?
Current references list pity for Monarch, Ethereal, Deadeye, and Solar. Check the counter on the exact unit before rolling because the live game is authoritative.
Should I reroll Blitz in Anime Vanguards?
Not automatically. Blitz is a practical stopping point on a secondary damage unit, especially when the alternative is consuming the budget needed for your main carry.
What trait should a farm unit use?
Fortune is the current economy-focused trait and the first roll to evaluate on a farm unit. Confirm the live card because farm and non-farm behavior can differ.
