99 Nights in the Forest Biome Refresher update guide

Biome Refresher Part 1 gives the Snow Biome the largest pass. The useful route is not a generic 99-night checklist: it connects the Owl’s Nest feather exchange, Ice Bow, Bell Tower freeze protection, and Ice Temple tablet before checking the smaller Jungle additions.

Quick answer

What should you do first?

Start in the Snow Biome, keep any Feathers you find, and locate the Owl’s Nest before spending the run elsewhere. Follow the live feather reward track for the Forest Gem Fragment, Cultist Gems, and Ice Bow; ring the Bell Tower to slow freezing; then inspect the Ice Temple for its Forest Gem Fragment and Boost Pad Recipe Tablet. In the Jungle, save Boar Tusks for the Boar Helmet recipe shown at the Tool Workshop.

What changed in the August 22 Biome Refresher?

Part 1 concentrates on the Snow Biome rather than replacing the whole survival loop. The current update records add the Owl’s Nest reward exchange, Ice Bow, Bell Tower effect, and an Ice Temple recipe tablet, alongside bug fixes and quality-of-life changes.

The Jungle received a smaller material-and-crafting route through Boar Tusks and the Boar Helmet. Treat those as additions to a normal survival run, not a reason to abandon food, fire, rescue, or base defense.

Run the Snow Biome route before leaving the area

When the Snow Biome appears, identify the Owl’s Nest, Bell Tower, and Ice Temple before making a long return trip. Keep Feathers until you have inspected the nest reward panel, because the panel shows the actual turn-in progress for the current build.

Ring the Bell Tower when you can reach it safely. The confirmed benefit is slower freezing; it does not remove the need to monitor warmth, route length, or nearby threats while searching the rest of the biome.

How the Owl’s Nest and Ice Bow route works

The Owl’s Nest accepts Feathers through a staged reward track. Current post-release records list a Forest Gem Fragment, Cultist Gems, and the Ice Bow among its rewards, with the Ice Bow later in the exchange sequence.

Use the live counter instead of following an unsupported universal Feather total. If a turn-in does not move the track, verify that the server loaded Biome Refresher Part 1 before collecting another full batch.

Check the Ice Temple for the Boost Pad upgrade

The refreshed Ice Temple has its own reason to visit even after the Owl’s Nest route is clear. Current update records place one Forest Gem Fragment and the Boost Pad Recipe Tablet in the temple.

Use the tablet before expecting the upgraded passive effect at the workbench. The Aerodynamics badge is a useful confirmation that the tablet interaction registered on the account.

Use Boar Tusks instead of discarding them

Boars can now drop Boar Tusks, which feed the defensive Boar Helmet route at the Tool Workshop. Carry the tusks back and read the current recipe card before deciding which other materials to keep.

This page does not lock in a material count because post-release references can lag a live recipe adjustment. The item name, source creature, and Tool Workshop destination are the confirmed route anchors.

What to do when the new structures are missing

First confirm that the run actually generated the relevant biome. A missing Snow structure in a run without the Snow Biome is not a failed update load.

If the biome appears but none of the new interactions or badge objectives are present, join a fresh server and check again. Do not repeatedly spend Feathers or crafting materials in an older server while expecting a newer reward panel.

How this was built

Methodology and limits

The August 22 release identity comes from the update announcement copied from the official 99 Nights Discord and the live Roblox experience. Specific locations, rewards, items, and badge objectives were then compared across two current post-release update records. Exact Feather totals and any unsupported drop rates remain omitted because the live reward panel is the safer authority.

Quick answers

99 Nights in the Forest guide FAQ

What was added in the 99 Nights Biome Refresher?

Part 1 refreshed the Snow Biome with the Owl’s Nest reward track, Ice Bow, Bell Tower freeze effect, and an Ice Temple Boost Pad tablet. The Jungle also gained Boar Tusks and a Boar Helmet crafting route.

How do you get the Ice Bow in 99 Nights in the Forest?

Find the Owl’s Nest in the Snow Biome and deposit Feathers through its reward track. The Ice Bow is listed as a later reward, so follow the live counter rather than assuming one fixed Feather total.

What does the Bell Tower do in the Snow Biome?

Ringing the Bell Tower slows how quickly the character freezes in the Snow Biome. It does not make the player permanently immune to freezing.

Where is the Boost Pad upgrade tablet in 99 Nights?

The Biome Refresher places the Boost Pad Recipe Tablet in the Ice Temple. It upgrades the existing Boost Pad recipe and is also tied to the Aerodynamics badge.
